Blog » Posts made in: December 2010

We had quite a memorable 2010 here at Papillon Press. We worked with some great clients (and some not so great) we were busier than ever…AND Joel and Chantal got married!

We leave you here with much overdo photos of our wedding and our wedding stationery.

Stay tuned for some great things happening at the PP studios in 2011. We’ll see you on the other side!

Joyeux Noël

We are taking our Christmas holidays until December 28th, but will be answering emails during. Claudette needs a much needed rest 😉

Joyeux Noël!

Our letterpress holiday ornament available in our Etsy shop

Cuts & Caps Tuesday – Cruising

We’re back to our weekly Cuts & Caps with this fine image of a ship navigating the icy cold waters of the Atlantic. Better watch out for that giant iceberg.

Christmas is coming and we still have some Christmas cards available in our shop. If you order them today there’s still a good chance you can get them by Christmas. Or maybe you’re sending out some late greetings this year, and that’s okay too!

We also have a beautiful illustrated letterpress ornament available. It’s in 3-D, and looks great on a Christmas tree.

The view out of the window…

Our neighbour’s house would make a great postcard for Canada. Pittoresque, non?

Letterpress Christmas Ornament

Just when you thought you’d seen everything letterpress can do, we went and made it 3D (glasses not included). This is no flimsy paper ornament!

We printed it on sturdy 300 gsm Legion Bamboo paper, then scored and assembled it by hand using only archival materials, so this ornament will stand the test of time and will not yellow. Even the beads were strung by hand! Chantal also designed and drew out the motif.

Looks pretty sharp in the Christmas tree, doesn’t it?

They are available for sale in our Etsy shop for $11.99. Order it quickly to receive it with time to spare before Christmas!
